Up The Credit wins North America Cup
June 18, 2011CAMPBELLVILLE, Ontario (AP) - Up The Credit won the $1.5 million North America Cup on Saturday night at Mowhawk Racetrack, holding off Roll With Joe in the world's richest pacing event.
Up The Credit, driven by Jody Jamieson for trainer-father Carl Jamieson, finished in 1:49.3 on the fast track to earn the $750,000 winner's share.
Also, Crys Dream won the $519,000 Elegantimage Stakes for 3-year-old filly trotters in a stakes-record time of 1:53.2, and Blue Porsche took the $347,000 Goodtimes Stakes for 3-year-old colt trotters in 1:54.2.
