Pants On Fire wins Monmouth feature
June 18, 2011OCEANPORT, N.J. (AP) - Pants On Fire held off Concealed Identity by 2 lengths Saturday in the $200,000 Pegasus Stakes at Monmouth Park.
Trained by Kelly Breen and ridden by Anna Napravnik, the 3-year-old colt ran 1 1-16 miles over a fast track in 1:42 4-5 and returned $3.20, $2.80 and $2.10. The win in the Grade III race was the third in 10 career starts for Pants On Fire, who has now earned $798,100.
Concealed Identity paid $5 and $2.40, while Turbo Compressor was another 4 lengths back in third and returned $2.20.
