Rewilding upsets So You Think at Royal Ascot
June 15, 2011ASCOT, England (AP) - Rewilding caught favorite So You Think in the final strides to win the Prince of Wales's Stakes on the second day of racing at Royal Ascot.
Frankie Dettori was aboard the winning 4-year-old colt owned by Dubai's Sheik Mohammed, and marked the jockey's 45th career win at Royal Ascot.
So You Think, sent off as the 4-11 favorite, was three lengths ahead at one point before 17-2 shot Rewilding caught him just before the finish.
Dettori said Wednesday ``it was a tremendous battle with two great horses.''
So You Think's trainer Aiden O'Brien says he'll take ``responsibility'' for his colt's loss.
Sri Putra, at 66-1 odds, was third.
Queen Elizabeth II watched the race, having attended every Royal Ascot meeting since 1945.
