NEW YORK (AP) - Daveron won the Beaugay and Straight Story took the Fort Marcy, the $100,000 turf stakes at Belmont Park on Saturday.

Daveron edged Gitchee Goomie by a neck for her fifth win in 14 starts. The 6-year-old ridden by Eddie Castro and trained by H. Graham Motion ran 1 1-16 miles in 1:42.99, paying $5.50 to win.

Carlos Marquez Jr. was aboard for Alan Goldberg as Straight Story beat Hudson Steele by a neck in 1:41.84. The 5-year-old improved to 6 for 18, paying $8.30.
