Hillswick pulls an upset in the Belmont feature
May 6, 2011NEW YORK (AP) - Hillswick, the longest shot in the field at 16-1, held off Jack On The Rocks by a neck in the $54,000 allowance feature at Belmont Park.
Apprentice jockey Ryan Curatolo guided the 5-year-old gelding to his fourth win in 20 starts. The time was 1:09.79 for the six furlongs on the fast track.
Hillswick, trained by Rudy Rodriguez, paid $35.20, $13.60 and $7.10. Jack On the Rocks paid $4.60 and $4, while Saint Daimon returned $4.80 to show.
