Walker's Landing takes the Belmont feature
May 1, 2011NEW YORK (AP) - Walker's Landing, 20-1, pulled off the upset Sunday in the $53,000 allowance feature on the turf at Belmont Park.
The 3-year-old colt ridden by David Cohen rallied from last in the eight-horse field to beat New Yawker by a half-length. Trained by Chad Brown, Walker's Landing covered the 1 mile on a good course in 1:36.59 for his second win in four starts.
Walker's Landing paid $42.80, $13.60 and $6. New Yawker returned $8.10 and $4.60. Pretty Boy Freud paid $4 to show.
