LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Shotgun Gulch swung wide in the stretch and edged Amen Hallelujah at the wire to win the $300,000 Vinery Madison on Thursday at Keeneland.

The 4-year-old filly took a nudge from jockey Garrett Gomez and chased down Amen Hallelujah in the final yards, winning by a head bob in the race for fillies and mares ages 4-and-up.

Shotgun Gulch, owned by C.R. Trout, covered seven furlongs over the Polytrack in 1:24.14 and paid $25.40, $9.20 and $6.20.

Amen Hallelujah, ridden by John Velazquez, went off as the 2-1 favorite and surged to the front in the final furlong but couldn't make it hold up and paid $3.80 and $3.40.

Dr. Zic held on for third after setting the early pace and paid $8.60.
