Rodman wins Big A's Irish Tower Stakes
April 14, 2011NEW YORK (AP) - Rodman scored the first victory in his comeback, beating Laysh Laysh Laysh by 31/2 lengths in Thursday's $60,000 Irish Tower Stakes at Aqueduct.
The 6-year-old chestnut has a win and a second in two races since missing over a year with a foot injury and colic. Ramon Dominguez was aboard for trainer Mike Hushion as Rodman ran the one mile in 1:34.71.
Rodman paid $5.70, $3 and $2.60. Laysh Laysh Laysh returned $2.80 and $2.10. Arson Squad paid $2.90 to show.
