Be Bullish wins Big A's Mr. Nasty Stakes
April 1, 2011NEW YORK (AP) - Be Bullish beat Deputy Daney by one length Friday in the $58,000 Mr. Nasty Stakes at Aqueduct.
Junior Alvarado was aboard for trainer Rick Dutrow as the 6-year-old gelding prevailed despite swerving outside during the stretch run on the muddy track. The time was 1:11.35 for the six furlongs as he won for the ninth time in 47 starts.
Be Bullish paid $6.60, $3.20 and $2.30 as the 2-1 second choice. Deputy Daney, the 9-5 favorite, returned $3.20 and $2.40. Temecula Creek paid $2.30 to show.
