LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Trainer Peter Miller says Comma to the Top won't be entered in the Kentucky Derby.

Churchill Downs officials said Thursday that Miller told a track official that there are concerns about the 3-year-old gelding's ability to handle the Derby's 1 1/4-mile distance.

Comma to the Top won the CashCall Futurity at Hollywood Park in December, and finished fourth in the recent San Felipe Stakes at Santa Anita. Miller says the gelding is still being pointed toward the Santa Anita Derby on April 9.

As a result, Comma to the Top has been removed from the roster of wagering interests in the third and final pool of the Kentucky Derby future wager. It offers bettors a chance to wager on potential contenders for the Derby at odds that could be more attractive than those available on May 7, the day of the race.
