NEW YORK (AP) - Hermosillo has won the $46,060 allowance feature at Aqueduct, romping to a 63/4-length victory over even-money favorite African Diamond.

A 7-year-old bred in New Jersey, Hermosillo earned his eighth win in 50 starts. Jorge Chavez was aboard for trainer Joseph Parker on Thursday. The gelding ran the mile and 70 yards in 1:45.97.

Hermosillo paid $15.80, $5.30 and $2.60. African Diamond returned $2.50 and $2.10. Regal Warrior showed at $2.10.
