Copper Forest takes the Aqueduct feature
March 6, 2011NEW YORK (AP) - Copper Forest, the even-money favorite, splashed to a 41/2-length win in the mud over Dakota Roadhouse in the $41,000 allowance feature for New York breds on Sunday at Aqueduct.
A 5-year-old trained by Larry Rivelli, Copper Forest extended his winning streak to three with his fifth victory in 17 starts. Ramon Dominguez was aboard as the chestnut gelding ran the one mile in 1:40.79.
Copper Forest paid $4.20, $3.40 and $2.70. Dakota Roadhouse returned $12.80 and $5.70. Brunelli paid $3.50 to show.
