Dahoud defeats Alley Hondro to win at Santa Anita
March 3, 2011ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) - The New Zealand-bred Dahoud got his first U.S. victory on Thursday, defeating Alley Hondro by 11/4 lengths in the $61,360 Paparazzi Purse at Santa Anita.
Ridden by Joel Rosario, Dahoud covered one mile on turf in 1:35.25 and paid $7.20, $4 and $3 as the wagering favorite.
Alley Hondro returned $11 and $5.60, while Rauschenberg paid $3.20 to show.
The victory, worth $33,600, increased Dahoud's career earnings to $51,014.
Dahoud was Rosario's third of four wins for the afternoon.
