Eminent Tale wins the Big A's Undaunted Mettle
February 18, 2011NEW YORK (AP) - Eminent Tale, the even-money favorite, beat Sky Music by one length Friday in the $60,000 Undaunted Mettle Stakes for New York-bred 3-year-olds at Aqueduct.
Ramon Dominguez, the meet's leading rider, guided the colt to the front-running victory, his third in five starts. The time was 1:43.01 for the one mile, 70 yards on the fast track.
Eminent Tale, trained by Rick Dutrow, paid $4.30, $2.70 and $2.40. Sky Music returned $2.80 and $2.30. Uncle Smokey paid $5.
