Coax Liberty wins Big A's Dearly Precious
February 12, 2011NEW YORK (AP) - Coax Liberty rallied to beat even-money favorite Breathoffreshheir by two lengths Saturday in the $63,700 Dearly Precious Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at Aqueduct.
Jostled in the early stages, Coax Liberty settled into fourth before launching her bid turning for home. She advanced widest of all to earn her third win in eight starts. David Cohen was aboard for Maryland-based trainer James Lawrence II as the filly won her first stakes, running the six furlongs in 1:11.24.
Coax Liberty paid $12.20, $4.20 and $2.80. Breathoffreshheir returned $2.40 and $2.10. Full Moon Blues paid $3.30 to show.
