Five Grand Girl wins Big A's Patty's Positive
February 27, 2011NEW YORK (AP) - Five Grand Girl won the $58,800 Patty's Positive Stakes on Sunday to give red-hot trainer Rick Dutrow Jr. five wins in his last seven starters at Aqueduct.
Jose Valdivia Jr. was aboard as Five Grand Girl rallied to beat Wild News by two lengths in the race for fillies and mares. The 5-year-old ran six furlongs in 1:10.32 for her seventh win in 11 starts.
Five Grand Girl paid $6, $3.50 and $2.10. Wild News returned $4.30 and $2.60. Wind Caper, the 4-5 favorite, paid $2.10 to show.
Purrfect Bluff, also trained by Dutrow, was fourth followed by Electic Gold.
