Church Camp wins feature at Santa Anita
February 18, 2011ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) - Church Camp defeated Excellent News by a half-length to win Friday's $64,140 Moondance Purse for fillies and mares at Santa Anita.
Ridden by Corey Nakatani, Church Camp ran seven furlongs in 1:22.23 and paid $11.40, $5.20 and $3.40.
Excellent News returned $9.80 and $5, while 13-10 favorite Crisis of Spirit was another three-quarters of a length back in third and paid $2.60 to show.
The victory, worth $35,400, increased Church Camp's career earnings to $99,200.
