Congo wins Aqueduct feature
February 4, 2011NEW YORK (AP) - Congo beat Ruler on Ice by three quarters of a length in the $45,000 allowance feature for 3-year-olds on Friday as racing resumed at Aqueduct.
Poor weather forced the track to cancel the Wednesday and Thursday cards.
Congo, a chestnut colt, won his second straight race at Aqueduct, improving to 3 for 7. David Cohen was aboard for Todd Pletcher as Congo ran the 1 mile, 70 yards in 1:43.02 over the inner strip rated good.
Congo paid $5.80, $3 and $2.20. Ruler On Ice returned $3.30 and $2.50. Isn't He Perfect paid $3.40.
