Shine Upon wins Aqueduct Jena Jena Stakes
December 18, 2010NEW YORK (AP) - Shine Upon, the 4-5 favorite, rolled to a 41/2-length win Friday in the $60,000 Jena Jena Stakes for New York bred fillies and mares at Aqueduct.
Alan Garcia was aboard for trainer Jimmy Jerkins as the 3-year-old ran the one mile, 70 yards in 1:41.90. It was the second stakes win for Shine Upon following the Dreamy Mimi at Aqueduct in March. Her record is 5-4.
Shine Upon paid $3.80, $2.70 and $2.30. My Dinah returned $3.50 and $2.70. Fivefifteen paid $5.90 to show.
