Teddy's Promise wins at Hollywood Park
December 3, 2010INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) -Teddy's Promise beat Queenie Marini by five lengths to win the $39,200 feature for California-bred fillies at Hollywood Park.
Ridden by Joel Rosario, Teddy's Promise covered seven furlongs in 1:23.68 and paid $3.40 and $2.60 as the 7-10 favorite. Queenie Marini returned $3.40. There was no show wagering.
Yellow Slicker and Banana Cream Pie completed the field. Zenidekka was scratched.
Thursday's victory aboard Teddy's Promise was the second of three for Rosario. He also won the first with Bluegrass Chatter and the fifth aboard Talktoomuch. Rosario, the defending Autumn meet champion, holds a 28-21 lead over Rafael Bejarano with 11 days remaining.
