Four-year-old Lady Alexander tops day at Keeneland
November 11, 2010LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -Stakes-winning filly Lady Alexander sold for $410,000, the top price during Wednesday's session at the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale.
Three Chimneys Sales as agent consigned the 4-year-old as a racing or broodmare prospect. She is by Exchange Rate out of the Housebuster mare Lady Ironwood. She was purchased by Keith and Ginger Myers' Coteau Grove Farms, based in Sunset, La.
The day's sales totaled $21,249,100 for 254 horses, an average of $83,658, down from last year's third session when 252 horses brought $25,833,000, an average of $106,480.
The sale continues through Nov. 20.
