Comma to the Top wins Real Quiet at Hollywood Park
November 7, 2010INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) -Comma to the Top led from the gate and pulled away to win the Real Quiet Stakes on Saturday at Hollywood Park for his third straight victory.
Ridden by Corey Nakatani for trainer Peter Miller and making his first start at more than 7 furlongs, Comma to the Top went straight to the front in the field of eight 2-year-olds, opened a 7-length lead on the second turn and beat long-shot Prayer for Relief by 6 1/4 lengths, covering 1 1-16 miles in 1:45.56.
Comma to the Top paid $10.20, $6 and $4.20. Prayer for Relief returned $11.40 and $6.60, and Clearance Clarence and paid $4.60 to show.
The Florida-bred gelding Comma to the Top has won four of eight lifetime starts. He earned $60,000, taking his lifetime total to $116,600.
