Square Deal wins Hollywood Park feature
October 29, 2010INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) - Square Deal defeated Earnednevergiven by a half-length in his first race on a synthetic track, capturing Thursday's $47,440 feature at the Oak Tree meet at Hollywood Park.
Ridden by Victor Espinoza, Square Deal ran six furlongs on Cushion Track in 1:08.63 and paid $11.20, $6.80 and $4.20.
Earnednevergiven returned $9.40 and $4.80, while Spaniard was another half-length back in third and paid $2.40 to show as the 9-10 favorite.
It was the sixth win of the meet for trainer Kristin Mulhall from just nine starters.
Square Deal won for the fifth time in 19 starts and has career earnings of $119,620.
