Great Attack wins at Keeneland
October 28, 2010LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Great Attack raced down the stretch as the even-money favorite to win the featured $51,000 Greenfield Farm Purse by 11/4 lengths on the turf at Keeneland on Wednesday.
The 3-year-old son of Greatness, ridden by Garrett Gomez, covered the 51/2 furlongs in 1:04.01 and paid $4, $2.60 and $2.40. Shore Do returned $4.80 and $3.20, while Bergerac finished a nose back in third and paid $10.
Great Attack, racing for Jeffrey Seder's Houynhnm Stable, earned $25,980 for his first win in four starts this year and third in seven career starts, bringing his career total to $96,274.
