Todd Got Even wins Monmouth feature
October 17, 2010OCENAPORT, N.J. (AP) - Todd Got Even drew off in the stretch to win the $75,000 Eillo Stakes at Monmouth Park on Saturday, beating Written in Stone by two lengths.
The 5-year-old trained by Scott Volk and ridden by Omar Figueroa covered the six furlongs over a fast track in 1:10 4/5 and returned $7, $4 and $3.20 in winning for the seventh time in 21 career starts.
Written in Stone earned $8.40 and $6.00, and Evenings End paid $7.80.
In the co-feature, Noisy Feet beat favored Lady Alexander by a half-length in the $70,000 The College of New Jersey Stakes.
Ridden by Angel Serpa and trained by Tim Hills, the 4-year-old filly ran the six furlongs in 1:10 2/5 and returned $31.60, $9.60 and $5. Lady Alexander paid $3.00 and $2.20 and D'wild Ride earned $2.80.
