WinStar Farm consolidates ownership

VERSAILLES, Ky. (AP) - WinStar Farm, home of 2010 Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver and 2010 Belmont Stakes winner Drosselmeyer, has consolidated its ownership.

Kenny Troutt, who founded the farm with Bill Casner more than a decade ago, is now the operation's sole owner. Casner will become the farm's largest client.

Casner said his relationship with Troutt ``remains unchanged.'' The two men ran a small claiming horse operation in the 1970s before going separate ways. They reunited to create WinStar, which has become one of the most influential operations in the business.

Super Saver broke the farm's 0-for-9 drought in the Derby, as jockey Calvin Borel guided the bay colt to a win in the slop at Churchill Downs.
