Go Go Shoot wins Belmont feature

NEW YORK (AP) - Go Go Shoot won the $57,000 allowance feature at Belmont Park on Friday, leading all the way and beating Captain Cherokee by 13/4 lengths.

A gray 5-year-old gelding trained by Todd Pletcher and ridden by John Velazquez, Go Go Shoot got his seventh win in 20 starts. The time was 1:09.64 for the 6 furlongs on the fast track.

The 2-1 favorite, Go Go Shoot paid $6, $3.60 and $2.60. Captain Cherokee returned $3.20 and $2.60. Starforaday paid $2.40 to show.

Ramon Dominguez, Belmont's leading jockey, rode four winners for the second time at the meet.
