Karmageddon wins Monmouth Park feature
October 3, 2010OCEANPORT, N.J. (AP) - Karmageddon ran past Simple Words in the stretch and won by 31/4 lengths in the $75,000 Princeton Stakes at Monmouth Park on Saturday.
Ridden by Dale Beckner and trained by Douglas Nunn, the 3-year-old filly covered the six furlongs on a fast track in 1:09 3/5 and returned $60.40, $11.80 and $4.20. It was the fourth win in 10 career starts for Karmageddon, who now has earned $214,030.
Simple Words returned $2.80 and $2.20. Veuve was another 13/4 lengths back in third and paid $3.
