Court Vision wins Woodbine Mile
September 20, 2010TORONTO (AP) - Court Vision passed The Usual Q.T. on the outside in the stretch and held on for a 11/4-length victory Sunday in the $1 million Woodbine Mile.
The 5-year-old Court Vision, ridden by Robby Albarado and trained by Rick Dutrow, finished in 1:34.62 on the firm turf and paid $16.60, $7.60, $5.40. The winner secured a spot next month in the Breeders' Cup Mile and earned $600,000 for IEAH Stables and Resoulte Group Stable.
Usual Q.T. returned $4.50 and $4.50, and Woodbourne paid $14.50 to show.
Earlier, Redwood overtook Fifty Proof to win the $727,200 Northern Dancer Turf. The British horse ran 11/2 miles in 2:28.97 and paid $5.80, $4.10 and $2.90.
