Win for M'lou takes feature race at Del Mar

DEL MAR, Calif. (AP) - Win for M'lou defeated Pink Diamond by three-quarters of a length to win the $54,000 Del Mar Kiwanis Purse on Thursday at Del Mar.

Ridden by Victor Espinoza, Win for M'lou covered 5 furlongs on the turf in :56.03 and paid $61, $16.80 and $6.40 as the 29-1 longshot in a field of seven older fillies and mares.

Pink Diamond returned $3.80 and $2.60, while Separate Forest paid $2.40 to show.

It was Win for M'lou's second win in eight lifetime starts.
