Princess Taylor wins at Del Mar
August 28, 2010DEL MAR, Calif. (AP) - Princess Taylor defeated Catsalot by a half-length to win the $84,775 California Thoroughbred Trainers TOC Stakes on Friday at Del Mar.
Ridden by Victor Espinoza, Princess Taylor covered 1 3/8 miles over the infield Jimmy Durante Turf Course in 2:14.83 and paid $3.20, $2.60 and $2.10. Catsalot paid $5.40 and $2.60, while Gripsholm Castle returned $2.20 to show.
The victory, worth $47,355, increased Princess Taylor's career earnings to $232,325. It was her fourth win in 36 outings.
