Connagher wins feature at Del Mar
August 27, 2010DEL MAR, Calif. (AP) - Connagher beat Blue Jay Attack by a head to win the feature race on Thursday at Del Mar.
Ridden by Joel Rosario, Connagher covered five furlongs over the infield Jimmy Durante Turf Course in 55.80 seconds and paid $7.40, $4.80 and $3.40 as the 5-2 favorite.
Blue Jay Attack returned $7.20 and $4.20, while Danzing Tribal paid $2.80 to show.
Shadow of Illinois came in fourth in the field of eight.
It was Connagher's second win of the current Del Mar season and third in four career outings.
