In Te Domine wins Stallion Stakes at Saratoga
August 13, 2010SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) - Heavily favored In Te Domine overtook Raffie's Rose inside the sixteenth pole and won the $100,000 New York Stallion Stakes Statue of Liberty Division by three-quarters of a length Thursday at Saratoga Race Course.
The race was restricted to 3-year-old fillies sired by stallions standing in New York.
The Linda Rice-trained In Te Domine ran 1 1/16 miles over the inner turf course in 1:44.42 to win her third race from four starts this year. She paid $3, $2.50 and $2.10. Runner-up Bretton Woods returned $4.90 and $3.50 and Raffie's Rose, denied second money in the final stride, paid $4.20 to show.
In Te Domine earned $60,000 for Blackout Racing Stables and Lawrence Zyra.
