Jack's Wild earns first win since '07 at Hollypark
June 19, 2010INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) -Jack's Wild ended a nine-race losing streak, dating to 2007, by rallying late to win Friday's $44,800 feature for California-breds by a half-length at Hollywood Park.
Ridden by Joel Rosario, Jack's Wild ran a mile on the turf in 1:35.21 and paid $6.80, $3 and $2.60.
Pop'shandsarehot returned $7 and $4.20, while Miguel's Mascot was another nose back in third and paid $5.40 to show.
It was Jack's Wild's first win in nine attempts on Hollywood Park's turf course. He has five wins in 39 career starts and earnings of $415,850.
