Radical Sabbatical wins Belmont feature
June 9, 2010NEW YORK (AP) -Radical Sabbatical edged Operation Red Dawn by a neck in the $57,000 allowance feature on the turf Wednesday at Belmont Park.
A 5-year-old gelding trained by Barclay Tagg, Radical Sabbatical took charge in midstretch but was fully extended at the end to earn his fifth win in 17 starts.
Rajiv Maragh was aboard as Radical Sabbatical ran the 1 1-16 miles in 1:41.14.
Radical Sabbatical, the 2-1 favorite as part of an entry with fourth-place finisher Summer Patriot, paid $6.60, $3.90 and $2.20. Operation Red Dawn returned $8.10 and $3.90, and Lemon Spice paid $2.40 to show.
