Bella Medaglia wins Churchill feature
May 19, 2011LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Bella Medaglia took the lead in the stretch and held off Differentiate by 31/2 lengths Thursday in the $52,840 allowance feature for fillies and mares at Churchill Downs.
The 4-year-old daughter of Medaglia d'Oro, ridden by Miguel Mena, ran 1 1-8 miles in 1:50.74 and paid $4, $2.80 and $2.40. Differentiate returned $4.40 and $3, and Vivo Per Lei paid $2.80 to show.
Bella Medaglia, owned by Coteau Grove Farms, earned $32,100 to bring her career total to $136,156.
