Yield Bogey wins Belmont feature
June 26, 2010NEW YORK (AP) -Yield Bogey upset Affirmatif, the 3-2 favorite, by a half-length in the $56,000 allowance feature on the turf at Belmont Park on Friday.
Sent off at 18-1, Yield Bogey swung four wide into the lane and took dead aim at Affirmatif, who had grabbed the lead turning for home. Jean-Luc Samyn urged Yield Bogey to his fourth win in 18 starts. The 6-year-old gelding trained by Pat Kelly ran the six furlongs in 1:07.67 on the firm course.
Yield Bogey paid $38.20, $11.80 and $6.60. Affirmatif returned $3.70 and $2.80. Our Friend Harvey paid $3.80 to show.
