Notes:
Mike Luzzi is a popular thoroughbred horseracing jockey, who spent his childhood days at Delaware, Wilmington. Mike Luzzi and his brother got initial training in horseracing from his grandfather Buddy Raines. Mike matured to a professional jockey with his first Grade 1 winner – Timely Warning in the Brooklyn Handicap. He clinched titles at Laurel Race Course in both Fall and Winter meet in 1990-91 and Summer meet in 1992. Mike achieved Eclipse Award as top apprentice jockey in 1989. He reached the historic landmark of winning 2000th race at The Meadowlands on September 13, 2000 and was honored with Mike Venezia Award in 2001 from the New York Racing Association.
